Book and Music by Eric Rockwell

UP TO YOU, a new musical for kids, is all about Individualism. This fast-paced comedy takes place at Hamilton High School in 1977, where an out-of-control student council votes itself the power to bully and intimidate as a way to raise money for the Homecoming Dance. Do the ends justify the means? It's UP TO YOU!
Inspired by the ideas of thinkers like Ayn Rand and Frederick Bastiat, UP TO YOU illustrates how the initiation of force is always wrong, whether the perpetrator is the schoolyard bully or the student council. When head cheerleader Vanessa is elected student council president, she proposes the "Spirit Plan," which is essentially one of legal plunder. Should students be required to show their school spirit? It's UP TO YOU!
"Despite the seriousness of the subject matter,
'UP TO YOU' is a fun hourlong romp with upbeat songs." -Frank Scheck, New York Post For more information, you might "like" the UP TO YOU Facebook Page! |
